Payment methods and currency

Accepted Answer

Payments are handled by Shopify Payments and PayPal. Both are PCI DSS compliant, all data is sent over an encrypted connection, and we never store full card details on our own servers.

The exact set of payment methods available to you is shown at checkout and depends on your country.

PayPal

You can pay with your PayPal balance, a linked bank account, or a card held in your PayPal account.

Currency

Our store is based in the Netherlands and operates in euros. If your bank supports multi-currency checkout you may see prices in your own currency, but the final charge is processed in euros.

We add no surcharge for any payment method. Your own bank or card issuer may apply a foreign transaction or currency conversion fee if your account is not in euros — that charge comes from them, not from us.

Refunds

Accepted Answer

Refunds always go back to the payment method used at checkout. We cannot refund to a different card, account or bank.

When we issue a refund

You changed your mind — refunded once we receive and inspect the return, minus return shipping. The original shipping fee is not refunded.
We sent the wrong item — a full refund including shipping, or a replacement, whichever you prefer.
Your order arrived damaged — contact us within 7 days of receiving it. We may ask for photos.
We cancelled your order before it shipped — refunded in full, including shipping.

How long it takes

Once your return reaches us and passes inspection, we process the refund within 5–7 business days and email you when it is done.

After we process it, the money still has to travel back through your payment provider:

Card timings depend on your card issuer and local method timings depend on your bank. Neither is something we control.

We may issue a partial refund, or refuse one, if the returned item is not in its original condition or has been damaged through misuse. The same applies to a return started after the 30-day window without our prior authorisation.

Returns

You have 30 days from the delivery date to start a return.

What can be returned

Seed packets can be returned if they are unopened and unused, in their original condition and, where possible, in the original packaging. Any labels, tags or accessories should still be intact.

Some items cannot be returned at all:

sealed goods that cannot be returned once opened, for health or hygiene reasons — this includes opened seed packets
perishable or time-sensitive goods
custom or personalised items
anything used, altered, or no longer in its original condition

How to start a return

Contact us before sending anything back. A return that arrives without prior agreement can be delayed or refused, and a return started after the 30-day window without our authorisation may not be refunded in full.

Message us within 30 days of delivery with your order number and the reason for the return.
Wait for our reply. We confirm the return and send you the return address along with anything else you need.
Repack the items securely, preferably in the original packaging, and include your order number or the original packing slip.
Ship the return following the instructions we send you.
We inspect the return when it arrives and email you to confirm the outcome.

Change or cancel an order

Accepted Answer

Orders are processed within 1–2 business days, so there is only a short window between placing an order and it being packed. The sooner you contact us, the more likely it is that we can still act on it.

Before your order ships

Message us with your order number and what needs to change. If the order has not been packed yet, we can usually:

correct the shipping address
cancel the order and refund it in full

For anything else — a different variety, an extra packet — tell us what you need and we will say what is possible.

We cannot guarantee that a change reaches the warehouse in time. Once an order has been packed and handed to the carrier, it is out of our hands.

After your order ships

Once you have received a shipping confirmation, the order can no longer be changed or cancelled by us. What you can do instead:

Wrong address — contact the carrier directly with your tracking number. PostNL, DHL and DPD can sometimes redirect a parcel that is already in transit.
You no longer want the order — refuse the delivery, or return it once it arrives. See Returns for the conditions and the 30-day window.

Refunds on a cancelled order

If we cancel an order before it ships, the full amount including shipping is refunded to your original payment method. See Refunds for how long that takes to appear.

Question 6

Damaged, missing or wrong item

Tell us within 7 days of receiving the order. Message us with your order number, what is wrong, and — for damage — a photo of the item and of the packaging it arrived in.

Damaged on arrival

Contact us within 7 days of receiving the product. We may ask for photos of the damage and the outer packaging; they let us settle the claim quickly and, where the carrier is at fault, file it with them.

You do not pay to send a damaged item back. If a return is needed, we cover the cost.

Wrong item shipped

If we sent something other than what you ordered, you choose: a replacement of the correct item, or a full refund including shipping. Either way, the cost of returning the wrong item is ours.

Something is missing from the order

Message us with your order number and which varieties are missing, and we will check what left our warehouse and put it right.

Tracking says delivered, but nothing arrived

Check with neighbours and any safe place the carrier might have used, and look for a delivery card. Carriers occasionally scan a parcel as delivered a little before it reaches the door.

If nothing turns up after a day or two, contact us with your order number and we will open an enquiry with the carrier.
